| Carol Kirkpatrick Allen Poulos, 83, of Texarkana, TX, died Sunday, February 15, 2009, at her home. She was born September 24, 1925, in Clarksdale, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Arkansas. She graduated from Texarkana Arkansas High School and Stephens College in Missouri, and attended SMU. She was a member of Tri Delta, the National Skeet Shooters Association, and the May Dale Garden Club. She enjoyed riding horses and spending time with her cats. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles E. Norton and Jack W. Allen, and her parents, Dr. R.R. Kirkpatrick, Gladys Olivia Kirkpatrick and Lazetta Kirkpatrick. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Ernest Poulos of Dallas, TX; her children: daughter Linda Norton Hall and her husband, Bob, of Midland, TX, son Kirk Patrick Norton and his wife, Shari, of San Diego, CA, son, Bruce Allen, and his wife, Janet, of Arlington, TX, and daughter, Suzanne Calfee and her husband, Shane, of Aledo, TX; five grandchildren, Christopher Hall and his wife, Tricia, and Kevin Hall of Boulder, CO, Michelle Hall of Midland, TX, Bradley Norton of San Diego, CA, and Ryan Calfee of Aledo; and one great-grandson, Tristan of Midland, TX. The family wishes to recognize the loving care and friendship of Renae Nolte, RN, Sharon Brown, RN, and Hannah Witherspoon. Honorary pallbearers are Kirk Norton, Bruce Allen, Bob Hall, Shane Calfee, David Orr, Mo Orr, Phil Poulos, and Ed Witherspoon. Memorial services will be held at 11 am Saturday, February 21, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church Chapel, Texarkana, AR, with Dr. Herbert Wren officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texarkana, TX. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Friday, February 20, 2009, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texarkana, TX.
