Unfortumately

Benny is survived by his wife Helen, 3 children; Randy, Eric and Elana, and 3 grandchildren; 2 boys and 1 girl. In January of this year Benny took the C Class in singles during our ATA Tournament, shooting a career high 98. Benny had only been shooting for a few years. He always wore a happy face and loved to greet people at the range. We all will miss him. ![]() |

| I
knew Benny by his aura of enthusiasm and his wonderful positive attitude.
He made the sun shine bright when it was cloudy. Benny did a lot of things
for people because he wanted to. Not only did he provide donuts but supplied
the Dodge City Shootout and the Skeet Tournament with disposable plates
and plastic cutlery for the assist in the feeding of the participants.
One could not find a nicer guy to chat with and his wit and humor were
ever present. I will miss Benny. Neil Vann, President SAN DIEGO Shotgun Sports Association |

I've known Benny as an Association member for a number of years. He was one of the nicest people I ever met. To Benny, no one was a stranger. He had a kind word for everyone. The range staff knew him for his many kindnesses and the donuts he frequently brought to the range. There was never an unkind or harsh word heard from Benny. We are all diminished by his loss. He is missed. Fred Hoyle,
Past President |

Benny was
the type who affected many people. He was someone you wanted to be your
best friend. He made himself known at the range by his animated spirit.
You knew when he was here; his energized voice was like that of a child
in a toy store. If he didn't know you, he would introduce himself. As
he walked down the range he would greet everyone he saw. He would pull
the workers aside to let them know what a wonderful job they were doing.
The "range dog" Ben was named after him, and he would call him his godson.
He was that kind of guy, never judged, and was always there to bring
a smile to your face. He never showed anything other than his excitement
for being alive. You couldn't even tell if he had shot poorly that day,
because every day that he could be out here was a good day, no matter
what. He has left that feeling in all of us here. |

Benny
was one of the first guys I met at the range. He was friendly, always
had a smile and would remind me, "shooting is fun and it beats working".
I'll miss him. |

Benny
was the most special person I have ever met. Always a smile and a hug
when you needed it. The most giving person I know or ever hope to meet!
Anyone lucky enough to come into his aura will never forget him. We
lost a truly wonderful person.
