Preston never let on that he was sick. He was the most friendly person I have ever met. In his last year he decided not to let his health effect the quality of his life. He began expanding his horizons out here at the range by shooting more difficult sports. He just wanted to have fun end enjoy his life to the fullest. His emotional strength will always be remembered.

Preston was on my trap league team a few sessions ago and then we didn't hear from him. When he did return he said he had been going through chemo and although he didn't feel 100%, he felt better when he was out doing his passion; shooting. He even went out and bought a new Perazzi and had it fit to him. He was kind enough to let me shoot it a time or two. The gun was as kind to me while I was shooting it as Preston was to everyone he came into contact with. The one comment he told me about that was on his mind was - "Don't wait".
Preston, you will be missed and I am honored to have known you for the time I did. I look forward to seeing you again.

I remember reminiscing with Preston about the time we each spent in the diesel version of the submarine Navy. Preston and I knew some of the same people during our time in the sub Navy. You could always count on him being upbeat with a ready smile and ready to shoot.

I met Preston at the Grand American Shoot in Ohio. Although we were from the same gun club I really did not know him. It was my first time at the grand and Preston made the trip a joy. We became good friends. I will miss him as I know others will.
Farewell my friend. We will meet again
